FAVORITE GUIDEBOOKS: Lonely Planet

Monday, September 30, 2013

On a recent adventure in Berkeley, Zach and I stumbled into a book shop for a break. We eventually found ourselves in the "San Francisco" section where I started flipping through Lonely Planet's guide to the city. I'm usually skeptical about guidebooks, but this one was particularly awesome. I was super impressed with their top picks - they kept mentioning restaurants, bars, and spots that Zach and I love and would totally recommend to our friends. So, I feel like they have a good pulse on our city. Needless to say, I ended up buying three of their guidebooks (the San Francisco one and, of course, London and Paris.) And, I've officially now read them all cover-to-cover. I'm obsessed.

What about you? Do you have a favorite guidebook series?

  1. Lonely Planet is great and so is Rick Steves. Rick's blog and radio show are always pretty fascinating... they make for great armchair traveling. :)
