Remember how I hate shopping? Well, I think I've figured out why: dressing rooms. I think they're all designed to make you feel fat - no matter what you try on. I'm pretty sure it's some sort of conspiracy between every clothing store. The lighting is enough to make your skin crawl. Suddenly I start seeing cellulite all over my whole body.
Because of this, it's really hard for me to shop for pants. I'm in between sizes, so I can never find pants that fit me in all the right places. It's an extremely frustrating process (that gets me agitated just writing about it.)
But this spring, I've been seeing women wearing awesome colored pants everywhere and I've been secretly coveting some. So, I decided to brave my fear of shopping and start the hunt for a good pair of colored pants. After a few weeks of sulking in and out of stores, I finally hit the jackpot in Zara. Colored pants in a cut that fit?! Hallelujah!
Since then, I've been wearing them a lot. It's probably because I'm feel the need to make up for the last 3 years (when my wardrobe was filled with nothing but neutral tones.) Bring on the color, people!
Stripes are an easy way to add some pattern to the outfit. I've found that thrift stores usually have an ample supply of striped treasures (this shirt was $2.99.)
