A few weeks ago, I was trolling around Netflix to find additions for my queue when I stumbled upon "The Seven Year Itch" starring Marilyn Monroe and Tom Ewell. Even though I'm a big Marilyn fan, I'd never seen this quirky little comedy.
After watching it though, I wasn't too impressed (it was pretty boring.) However, I could relate to the plight of the two main characters. In a nutshell, they're neighbors stuck in New York for the summer - with only one little window air conditioner to keep them cool. During their time together, they find some pretty unique ways to beat the heat. And since Zach and I have our own little hot apartment (complete with a single window air conditioner,) I plan on implementing some of their strategies.
Strategies like: wearing lots of flowey dresses. If it was good enough to keep Marilyn cool, then I think it'll work for me to. These options look pretty breezy:
1 // 2 // 3 // 4
Or, I might try freezing my underwear in the ice box before putting it on. (I even found some cute ice buckets for keeping things cool):
1 // 2 // 3 // 4
Or spending weeknights in front of the fan, listening to records, drinking cold champagne, and eating potato chips. (That might be the perfect summer date night.)
1 // 2 // 3 // 4
